Weekend Seminar:
'How to Open and Run a BED and BREAKFAST Inn'
$495/couple or $395/single*
A seminar is an essential step to determine if the lifestyle and business climate of a bed and breakfast inn is appropriate for you. Our seminars take place over a very full weekend and include the following sessions.
We also include time for an individual consultation at the end of the weekend. This will help you further clarify your goals and objectives. For the 2005 season, our seminar cost is $495/couple or $395/single which includes two nights' lodging, breakfast, the seminar and all handout materials.
*includes two nights' lodging, breakfast, the seminar and all handout materials.
We are very pleased with the variety of inns offered this year. The range from small B&Bs to large, full service inns. We vary the locale so that attendees have the best option to match their interests with a respective inn. Our host inns fall into the following categories:
Bed and Breakfast (5-8 Guest Rooms): Seekonk Pines B&B, Berkshire 1802 House, Lion's Head Inn
Bed and Breakfast Inn (8-15 Guest Rooms): Cranmore Mt. Lodge
Full Service Inn (Serves Dinner): The Franconia Inn, Thatcher Brook Inn, The Spalding Inn and Country Club
Choosing a seminar is not always a simple task. We do, however, offer a unique experience via our seminars.
Innkeeping Experience:
Our staff has over 20 years of innkeeping experience. Obviously, this experience is crucial to understanding not only the industry but the personal struggles and joys of this profession as well.
Class Size:
We intentionally keep our class sizes small. Depending upon the inn utilized, attendance is limited to 14-20 students.
Successful Graduates:
Numerous graduates have gone on to become innkeepers. We do not, however, define our success in terms of innkeepers generated. Instead, we take great pride in the number of graduates who have made wise and sensible decisions regarding their future, regardless if they become innkeepers or not.
On a side note, we often offer our seminar at other locations such as trade shows and universities. If you have a large enough group, we can also travel to you. Please contact us to review terms and conditions of these options.
We can offer a one-day seminar that will be designed to the specific needs of your property and location.
